At American Friction we specialize in the manufacture of Brake Blocks and the distribution of Brake Bands, Brake Rims, Clutches and all Clutch Parts. Our focus is the braking aspect of the Drawworks. We have been in business since 1995 and have over 100 years of oilfield experience among our top three personnel. American Friction currently has its own inventory in Houston, Texas; Odessa, Texas; and Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. We have many different stocking distributors all over the United States and in other countries.

Our goal is to be second-to-none when it comes to the quality of our products and the superiority of our service.

We offer a Brake Band stocking and rotation procedure. Many of our customers take advantage of this service in addition to having American Friction install the Brake Blocks on Bands in order to ensure proper torque of the brass bolts and locking nuts. New bands are serialized, and copies of MTRs, MPIs, and inspection reports are provided upon request, which is an industry first. Digital pictures also are taken and e-mailed to customers who have this extra documentation need.
